A Rambling Update – February 2018

I was going to call this “State of the Rambler” but damn if that joke hasn’t been run into the ground already.

Those of you that frequent the reddit sub may have already read the news but I’m posting it here as well.

I am going to pursue the publishing of Hyperion as a real, honest-to-goodness book.

Unfortunately this means I will have to press pause of posting the chapters of Hyperion as I have been doing.

This does not mean I will disappear or stop doing anything with Hyperion, it just means it won’t be the story proper to retain a chance at actual publishing. I will also be bringing out new stories (I know, boo hiss) for your reading pleasure.

Some of you have been along for this ride for quite some time and I know it might be disappointing, I hope it’s not too much so.

Because I am an open book (ha!) I will tell you that I plan on pursuing a traditional publishing route for a period of time and then I will self-publish it, I will not hold the story hostage should the traditional route be closed to me. It is as much your story as it is mine and I will not keep it from you forever.

This journey of Hyperion has been absolutely phenomenal for me and it will continue, until the day it is a real book if I have to self-publish or someone is willing to give me the shot.

  2. I am so buying that book once it is out. I cannot believe that stumbling upon a random writing prompt on reddit ends with me buying a book. Also I would love to be a Beta reader should that be an option. Keep up the spectacular work,

  14. Saw your update on reddit and was disappointed I wouldn’t get more of this story weekly, but excited to hold a paperback copy of Hyperion in the future!

  22. I have been on board since the 3rd time you posted and I have always knew this would be epic, but never would I have guessed it would become a real book. Of course I will buy (hardcover) as soon as it is out, wherever it is out. And I would truly appreciate the honor of being a beta reader. Keep on doing great!
